If we use a precious resource like wood to create a piece of furniture, the piece of furniture should at least try and do justice to the value of the tree.
Creating something that has integrity and beauty, something that will be loved and will last, is one of the fundamental values of sustainable practice.
Less but better; a mantra to live by, and create by.
Materials and energy are a valuable resource consumed in the manufacture of products, the responsibility lies with us to create and buy products that at least do justice to the resources that go into making them.

The mission is to improve the competitive advantage of our members on the island of Ireland by providing a platform to connect, share and learn.
REFOREST NATION - IRISH Tree PLANTINg Project
Working with local land owners Reforest Nation (formerly the East Coast Tree Project) is committed to bringing back our biodiverse native forests and create wildlife corridors to restore our ecosystem which in turn will provide valuable safe havens for our most threatened wildlife. The goal of the project is to plant native trees to restore ecosystems, biodiversity and help people throughout Ireland and the world offset their carbon footprint.
Starting from 2020, Studio Harris has pledged to plant 100 trees per year as part of Reforest Nation’s Earth Custodian membership. As our business grows, we hope to increase this.
Eco Packaging Alliance
We put a lot of effort into researching packaging companies to find a supplier that offered beautiful, sustainable packaging. Our labels, tissue and cards are compostable and made from recycled materials. Joining the Eco Packaging Alliance means we can contribute to global reforestation one tree at a time, every time we place a packaging order.
They have planted nearly 40K trees worldwide (Aug 2021 report).
